Huawei directly compete with Lenovo, Xiaomi and others to NO. 3 positions. Nevertheless, from the point of view of the main Huawei Richard Yu, a real competitor of the company is Samsung, not Xiaomi.
Richard Yu said that the manufacturer redmi "no chance" at the top end of the market. He continued by saying that Xiaomi Mi Note Class have no advantages over Huawei Ascend Mate7, and neither does Xiaomi MI4 on Huawei Honor 6 Plus. It seems that Huawei sees Xiaomi phones competing with its smartphone middle class, rather than with its premium flagships such as Mate7, Ascend P7, or honor 6 Plus.

Huawei innovating with dual camera is great but with their slow and Ugly software I doubt they will catch up with Samsung real soon .

Huawei just wants to associate themselves with what are regarded as 'premium' brands.
Xiaomi still is their competition. Honor 6 and Honor 3c were made to compete with Xiaomi mi3 and Redmi 1s.

Too bad Microsoft can't get things together with Nokia. Would be nice to see them in the game and pushing the others.
