For the first time it sold more iPhones in China in 2014 than it was at home in the United States. Analysts believe that this was made possible by overtaking Apple's deal with China Mobile and the subsequent release of Apple IPhone 6 in China in October last year.
IOS from Apple has a share of 41.8% in the US, but only 20.7% in China. The Chinese market has grown rapidly over the last few years (two were equal to only 3 and a half years ago).
Apple's deal with China Mobile helped the company to become more familiar with Chinese users. According to analysts, China accounted for 36% of iPhone shipments while the US accounted for only 24%.
