Snapdragon 810 was set to be the chipset of choice for the majority of the flagships of this year, but persistent rumors about overheating problems have shaken the dominant position of the company Qualcomm. Reports have surfaced, claiming that Samsung will select it in the house Exynos silicon to avoid possible delays in production.
Industry insiders said that Qualcomm is developing an updated version of SoC for Samsung in ispolzovanii.Novaya version will be available for the Korean company in March, which poses the question of whether, Snapdragon 810 will actually make it in time for the Galaxy S6.

It's too late. Qualcomm can not modify the silicon, it takes quarter(s), the best thing it could do is to modify the microcode to allow a more severe throttling to stay in the thermals, vanishing all the cpu and gpu goodies of 810. It is not enough. The train is lost this time. Samsung will go to its own powerful SOC with S6.

They exist, but are not as much in abundance.
Hopefully if Samsung goes full head on with the Exynos they release and support more details, drivers, and such.

Other companies would be stupid if they paid Qualcomm money for an outdated/flawed chip. So it is obvious for me they will also receive the updated edition.
