Nexus 6 originally planned to come with a fingerprint reader, as a consequence of the media revealed the Code requires, and other traces of it all over the place, but now that we have heard very official confirmation and explanation of all the reasons why Nexus 6 skipped the safety functions.

Former CEO of Motorola Dennis Woodman admits: "The secret that what he was supposed to be a fingerprint reader, and Apple, bought the best supplier. Thus, the second best supplier was the only one available to everyone else in the industry, and they were not there yet, "said Woodside.

It seem a wise decision to remove the the finger print scanner from the public release of the Nexus 6 as they couldn't implement in as well as Apple's Touch ID which is still the only one to get it right.

I've observed my friend's quick demonstration of using the fingerprint sensor on his iPhone 6 Plus. It was pretty convenient, and worked nicely. But I question, security-related, how reliable is it? I like the idea of using a fingerprint sensor, if it works securely.

I thought it was pretty gimmicky when first unveiled but I'll admit it's pretty much as advertised. My wife has a 6+ and to me it's virtually see-through. Once you set it up it does just what it's supposed to do and you don't even notice it.
