A smartphone doesn't have competitive specs. The fastest mobile processor won't beat an Atom processor, although the GPU might be better. You won't get 128gb ssd. Most phones start with 16gb. You won't get 8gb of ram. Smartphones have 1-2 gb. You get the 10hr battery life because of the slower processor and most tablet apps are resource intensive and there aren't many processes running in the background. Let's see if you get 10hr running a graphic intensive game. Plus you have a much smaller screen, which is the biggest source of the battery drain. Now let's look at price. The phone or tablet with the highest specs go for $500-$700.  It's not that much less than the laptop for a much smaller screen and lower specs.
