For Christmas, Amazon is stuffing your virtual stocking with an app bundle worth $220 — a much higher value than the socks and underwear wrapped in the deceptively large box under the tree with your name on it. From games to productivity apps to image editors, the bundle has it all, and it’s available on both Amazon and Android devices.
The jewels of the bundle are media-streaming app Plex, jump-scare horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s, Terraria, and the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (which itself accounts for around $31 of the bundle), but the rest of the pack is filled with fun and useful apps. People with an Amazon device can grab the bundle with ease, but those with Android devices will have to jump through an extra hoop: installing the Amazon Appstore. It’s easy enough — simplydownload the Appstore, allow the installation, then install it.
The bundle is available from December 24 to December 26, allowing time for people that receive Amazon (or Android) devices as holiday gifts to load those devices full of apps right after they’re unwrapped. Along with the bundle, Amazon also issued discounts on Kindle ebooks, its own devices, and Instant videos, helping you get your digital shopping done at the last minute.
